Our Values
The value at the core of AT THE CORE is the belief in the inherent worth and dignity of every individual. This value forms the foundation of practice and guides interactions with participants and the approach to addressing challenges.
This value emphasises the importance of treating all individuals with respect, empathy, and understanding, regardless of their backgrounds, circumstances, or challenges they may be facing. AT THE CORE are committed to promoting and protecting the rights and well-being of all people, including those who are marginalised, vulnerable, or oppressed.
The value of inherent worth and dignity also underscores the principle of self-determination, which acknowledges that individuals have the right to make choices and decisions about their own lives and be actively involved in shaping their own future. AT THE CORE work collaboratively with people to empower them, enhance their autonomy, and support their self-determined goals.
Moreover, this value directs AT THE CORE to recognise and address social injustices and systemic barriers that prevent individuals from realizing their full potential and accessing resources and opportunities. AT THE CORE strive to promote social justice, equality, and inclusiveness by advocating for social change, challenging oppressive policies and practices, and working towards a more equitable society.
In summary, the value of inherent worth and dignity lays at the core of AT THE CORE and guides our commitment to respect, empower, and promote the rights and well-being of all individuals, while addressing social injustices and promoting social change.
